• Jewelry is delicate and not immune to damage! While it's fine to wear your pieces daily, we recommend removing them before showering, working out, sleeping, or doing anything that might put them under stress.

We highly recommend that all clients book a yearly maintenance check with us. This allows us to inspect the setting, provide a thorough cleaning and polish, and make any needed adjustments due to regular use. If more extensive repairs are needed, we’ll provide a cost estimate in advance. To schedule a maintenance appointment, please get in touch.

For at-home cleaning, soak your jewelry in warm water mixed with mild soap. After soaking, gently scrub using a soft-bristled toothbrush and dry with a paper towel.

  • Kim is dedicated to using only responsibly sourced materials. She often incorporates antique, vintage, or reclaimed gemstones, along with ethically mined modern diamonds and ethically produced lab-grown diamonds. If you’re interested in lab-grown options for your custom piece, Kim is happy to source and work with them.

  • All jewelry is crafted in 14k gold, selected for its ideal balance of beauty, strength, and longevity. Upon request, Kim is happy to work with higher karat gold—such as 18k, 20k, or 22k—for clients who prefer a richer gold content. However, gold below 14k is not used, as it does not meet the standards required for fine, lasting jewelry.

  • Kim specializes in resetting and repurposing heirloom gemstones. However, please be aware that we can only incorporate natural stones into new designs. Unfortunately, we are unable to utilize gold from pre-existing jewelry.

  • To start creating your unique piece of jewelry, we first ask for a $500 design deposit. Once you're happy with the design, a 50% deposit of the total price will confirm your order and allow us to begin production. You'll pay the final half when your custom jewelry is ready and delivered to you.

  • Sales tax is determined based on the sales tax regulations of the shipping destination you provide. Any international customs duties or fees are the recipient's obligation.

  • The time it takes to create a piece varies, but it typically ranges from 8 to 12 weeks. If you require a faster turnaround, please inform us, and we will make every effort to meet your needs.

  • Kim stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of every piece she creates. However, once the jewelry is delivered to the client, it becomes their responsibility. We strongly recommend that clients obtain insurance to protect their jewelry from potential loss or damage. Having coverage ensures you're financially safeguarded in case of theft, accidents, or unexpected events.

  • All jewelry is dispatched via UPS and requires a signature upon receipt. We provide free shipping to all addresses within the US. For information on international shipping costs, please contact us.

Alternatively, items can be collected from our studio at no cost.

Please note that while all packages are insured during transit, our liability ends once the package has been delivered and signed for.

  • Yes! If your ring was originally purchased from Kim, it's likely we can resize it. The cost for resizing is a standard fee of $100, plus shipping. In some cases, a ring cannot be resized, typically when there are gemstones or specific details that extend completely around the band. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee any resizing or repair work performed by other jewelers.

  • To inquire about repairs, please contact us. We will then contact you regarding the subsequent steps or if more details are needed.

  • Personalized or custom-made items cannot be returned or exchanged.

Items that are purchased from our capsule collections may be exchanged for store credit within a 7-day period from the date of purchase. Capsule collection items must be returned in their original condition, with all original packaging and documents intact.

We (KCJ) reserve the right to deny unreasonable returns.
